Philanthropy

Adult english language: english language instruction is given to approximately 85 adult students over the age of 17 during 5-6 week semesters throughout the year. These classes target vocational and conversational english language and incorporate classroom and live english discussion. access program: a 2 year english and cultural values training program for youth. This is a us embassy funded program and is renewable. green creations: this is a recycled handicraft project employing 13 impoverished women. We take their jewelry and other products and market them in jordan and around the world. The expenses include workshop operations, manufacturing supplies, salaries, marketing and utilities. women's health and fitness: this program provides a safe, nurturing environment for all socio-economic backgrounds in aqaba to learn and practice healthful lifestyles. We encourage and empower women in healthy lifestyles, physical activities, proper nutrition and soul care through our exercise and fitness classes, discussion groups, monthly workshop sessions and activities. Currently we serve about 50 women monthly at our sites in aqaba and irbid. Revenue $6,009. Souk by the sea: this is a handicraft street market staged for local artisans and nonprofits to sell their handicrafts to tourists in aqaba. In may of 2016, this program was transferred to the souk by the sea nonprofit cooperative. This project is now fully operated by the local nonprofit.
