The council carried out programs devoted to preventing alcohol and other drug abuse; educating the public about alcohol and other drug abuse; and encouraging proper diagnosis, treatment and continuum of care for indviduals and families with alcohol and other drug problems. The council's programs served 3,224 adults and 1,399 youths, and distributed 5,630 pieces of literature.
