The organizations primary exempt purpose is to foster and promote information related to the fields of group psychotherapy, psychodrama and sociometry. Theseefforts will result in enhanced understanding of these fields as they relate to the well being of clients, as well as ultimate improvements in these areas and dissemination of the information necessary for the professionals in the field to administer and utilize techniques that will result in measurable improvements in clients.

Conferences and meetings are held each year and are designed to provide members with knowledge and promote interactions between members to enhance communication and improve processes relating to the areas of group therapy and drama. other peripheral expenses are routinely incurred in support of the core program services newletters, journals and electronic communiques are provided to the members as an ongoing means of keeping members informed about changes in the field and updating members on the locations and time of conferences and other functions.
