Pittman used personal funds to get the organization going. She did all necessary paperwork for WSBE to receive 501(c)(3) non profit status. Pittman does 501(c)(3) papers for other new agencies to support the organization. Early year 2000, we were chosen for the CDBG (city block) grant for our project "West Englewood Women on the Move." The goal of the organization is to expand its self employment training program to include job readiness, and GED training for women on welfare or who have never worked.
