Actrims provides leadership in the field of multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating diseases. Actrims emphasis is in these three areas: annual meetings, research and education, and community/value.

In 2017, actrims held its second annual forum. Attendance increased by roughly 20%. Attendees of the forum include neurologists, young investigators, and residents. The actrims resident summit provides education to residents about the opportunities in the field of ms. Actrims forum 2017 awarded scholarships to 90 young investigators, an increase of 18 over 2016.
