The ywca's mission is to eliminate racism and to empower women. Our goal is to enrich the lives of women and their families. Our programs and services must all work towards these ends.

Human Services , Young Mens or Womens Associations

Client services programs: crisis response and recovery services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, including safe shelter, 24-hr crisis line, medical and legal advocacy, and life skills classes. Served 5,005 people in 2017. childcare programs: before and after school childcare for youth in at-risk schools, full-day childcare care for children, ages 1-5. In all programs, youth learn positive social skills and learn to be team members while focusing on character development. Served 146 in 2017. youth and adult programs: mariposa, an enrichment and good-decision-making program for young latinas; fun factory summer recreation program for youth ages 5-9; money smart financial literacy class for adults; hosted mexican consulate to help immigrants obtain necessary paperwork; girl power and kid power, and art in action, school-based programs focused on healthy relationships served 3,583 in 2017.
