The education enrichment program is a comprehensive year-round program that that provides over 500 disadvantaged youth, ages 6 18, the scholastic tools and basic life skills to achieve success in life. Youth participate in tutoring, character building, life-skills and leadership training, entrepreneurship classes and field trips. Youth have utilized on-line, individualized curriculum to improve reading and math skills, and also act scores. Four core values are promoted in the character lessons integrity, respect for diversity, self-discipline, and service to the community. Field trips reinforce character lessons and also serve as rewards for behavior and participation. In the fall of 2015, a 21st century community learning center (afterschool program) was established at a low-performing elementary school, providing academic, enrichment and sports activities for 80 students. Starting in 2016, the recreation program was combined with the enrichment program. The organization considers all of its programs to be enrichment programs, but they may include recreational components.
