The ywca is a women's membership movement nourished by its roots in the christian faith and sustained by the richness of many beliefs and values strengthened by diversity. The association draws together members who strive to create opportunities for women's growth, leadership and power to attain a common vision: the ywca is dedicated to the elimination of racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, dignity and freedom for all. The association will thrust its collective power towards the elimination of racism wherever it exists and by any means necessary.

Health, fitness, and youth sports: involves instruction in physical fitness, nautilus, aquatics, aerobic exercise, and various activities. youth intervention services: program to help troubled children redirect their lives. It gives the judicial system and the community alternatives to imprisoning youth offenders. childcare: involves before and after school programs, summer day camp (includes camp for handicapped children), outreach programs, marching groups in the fall, and year-round nursery care.
