Wedc provides training, advisory services, and access to capital for women entrepreneurs throughout westchester county and the lower and mid-hudson valley. During 2014, wedc served a total of 2,401 clients. Of those, 118 graduated from the wedc 60+ hour entrepreneurial training program; 1,550 attended workshops, seminars, and events; 425 received technical assistance/counseling; 151 attended training for established entrepreneurs; and 307 received financial resource counseling and referrals. Wedc also provided services to business owners affected by hurriance sandy to help their businesses recover and build sustainablility. See also part i, line 1 schedule o extension. Wedc serves both women and men, and its services are available to all population groups, with those served being mainly caucasian, latino/hispanic, and african american.
