To refurbish bedrooms for economically disadvantaged children

Provided 8 children-in-need with complete bedrooms. Need was determined by local social workers and professionals throughout flint and surrounding areas. Once recipients are identified, members of the organization meet with each child to determine hobbies, interests and favorite colors. Bedroom furniture and fixtures are purchased for each child's bedroom based on their interests. Each bedroom consists of: 1. Newly cleaned and painted bedroom 2. New bed or bunk bed 3. New matress per bed 4. New bedding for each bed 5. New pillows for each child 6. New bible for each child 7. Donated books for each child 8. Desk in each room 9. Dresser in each room 10. Window treatments 11. Pictures of individual interests 12. New light switches & covers 13. New rugs on floors 14. Smoke detectors where necessary
