Domestic violence intervention and prevention program provides shelter, counseling, food, and daycare for victims of domestic violence. We also provide assistance in identifying safe housing for clients and getting them set up with basic household needs, including furniture, kitchen utensils and pots and pans. We recently assumed ownership of chestnut street mercantile, a thrift store, which allows us access to items necessary to set up households. To date, we have provided for 15 residents all items necessary for independent housing. women's cancer program provides education to women about the importance of early detection in the fight against breast and cervical cancer and facilitates access to medical services for clinical breast exams, pap tests and mammograms for low-income, underserved, minority women in 23 west central indiana counties. In 2016 we added the well integrated woman's health grant to our funding. This provides for counseling and monitoring of women's overall health, diabetes, etc. We are currently in the process of assuming additional counties within indiana to bring us to a total of 39 counties that we would be serving. our adult and youth programs stress exercise for health and wellness.
