Retirement community apts occupied = 90, skilled nursing days = 19,339, shelter care days = 10,363. the organization provides assistance to residents who have financial difficulties paying for services provided. Key elements used to determine eligibility included a residents demonstrated inability to pay based on financial assets and income. During the years ended december 31, 2017 and 2016, the organization utilized board-designated investments in the amount of $144,349 and $80,392, respectively, to fund the cost of providing charity care. This assistance is reported as an offset to revenue.
