Alea bridge's primary purpose and function is to connect the homeless, and those at risk of becoming homeless, to the resources available to restore a sense of hope, purpose, and success in their lives. We help all who need and want help to find, qualify for, obtain, and sustain a housing solution for their needs.

Human Services

Usvets homeless outreach subcontract: provide direct outreach services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness within the region 5 area (mililani, wahiawa, and north shore areas) of oahu. This includes all aspects of outreach services including but not limited to: completion of vispdat forms, which help assess and enroll homeless individuals/families in the state of hawaii's homeless information management system; obtaining legal documents and identification necessary for obtaining housing; providing transportation to government and community resources; providing food, clothing, toiletry items as needed for basic needs; assisting in connecting to physical, spiritual, or mental health resources as needed; applying for and obtaining housing. 2017 participants - 152; 2017 referred to housing - 60 (includes emergency shelter, transitional housing, residential treatment, rapid rehousing, permanent supportive housing, private rental); 2017 referred to support services - 55 (this includes all other services not including housing (id, food, clothing, transportation, counseling, employment) city and county of honolulu grant-in-aid award: beginning october 1, 2017, administer a community outreach program to engage stakeholders and provide services to the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless within district 2 of c&c of honolulu. 2017 community engagement events - 1; 2017 households provided direct rental assistance - 6 (includes rent, deposit, arrears, program fees, relocation); 2017 households provided other financial assistance - 5 (includes id, food, transportation, storage/moving, other related services); 2017 volunteers (includes duplicates, combined w/ aff below) - 149; 2017 volunteer hours (cumulative, combined w/ aff below) - 559 atherton family foundation grant: august 1, 2017 start date, establish a volunteer training & mentoring program to serve the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless, primarily within region 5 of oahu. 2017 households provided direct rental assistance - 19 (includes rent, deposit, arrears, program fees, relocation); 2017 households provided other financial assistance - 59 (includes id, food, transportation, storage/moving, other related services)
