The organization provides charitable assistance to individuals in need of food or shelter. The assistance is provided on a temporary basis. The organization was formed by the churches of oconee county to provide this service. Individuals are referred to organization by the churches of oconee county,the department of family and children services of oconee county, or other social services organizations. The organization served 570 clients who made 2698 visits to the food pantry in 2014. In addition 350 special food boxes were distributed to senior citizens who were clients of action, inc.
