Resource and referral: this program is the core of our work. Women are connected to community resources in a comfortable open door setting five days a week. In 2017 we provided 1330 clients with 1698 resources and 393 clients used our office equipment for 397 hours. keys to high school success (kthss) and get your girl power (gygp): the kthss supported 250 eighth grade girls with their transition into high school. Activities include 12 different workshops from three tracks; advocacy, healthy relationships and positive self-image and support the colorado health standards. Gygp supported 133 fifth grade girls from bayfield and durango elementary schools with their transition into middle school. Girls rotate through four different workshops: healthy eating, how girls are portrayed in the media, how to identify bullying and intervene on behalf of others, healthy relationships and cyber awareness. education: the educational opportunity scholarship provides financial assistance to women seeking certification, training or college degree that will help them advance in their career. In 2017, 24 awards were handed out to 20 individuals. remaining programs: professional development coaching program connects women with a one-on-one coaching opportunity to help them set personal, career and/or business goals. 8 women were served in 2017. The goal is to promote this program and to serve 8 women in 2018. The low-bono program provided family law assistance, for a nominal fee, to those who are from a low to medium income. In 2017, 27 individuals received assistance. In 2018, we will serve a minimum of 30 individuals small business development program assists women who are starting a business, need additional help with their existing business or have an idea for a new business. In 2017, 14 women were served. The goal in 2018 is to serve any woman that seeks business assistance.
