The yuba sutter united way improves lives by mobilizing resources to meet needs in the community. The jurisdiction of the ysuw is yuba, sutter and colusa counties. In 2014, there were 26 non-profit partner agencies that received allocated funds from ysuw. In addition, ysuw distributed designated funds to 32 non-profit agencies. Ysuw managed charitable campaigns for over 100 local small businesses, local governments, school districts and state and federal employees working in yuba, sutter and colusa counties. Ysuw also served as the administrator for the designated local board for the emergency food and shelter program which distributed federal funds to non-profit agencies for emergency food and shelter needs. In 2014, ysuw served as the fiscal agent for the sutter-yuba homeless consortium and served as a referral center for individuals in need of services. Ysuw collaborates with individuals, agencies, members of the faith-based community, local schools and governments to help improve local social services and address community needs.
