Support services: the support services department provides services to men, women, and children experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Services include a 24-hour crisis line, confidential emergency shelter, case management, counseling & therapy, legal advocacy, safety planning, and domestic violence education. counseling services: the ywca support services provides prevention, intervention, medical & legal advocacy, and counseling services to minimize the traumatic aftermath of sexual assault, and to promote safety, mobility, and freedom from abuse for all people. Services include: - 24-hour crisis line for survivors, family members, and friends. - accompaniment of survivor to hospital and through the reporting and judicial process - child abuse and assault prevention programs for children, teens, and the general community - peer support groups for rape and childhood sexual abuse survivors - free confidential crisis counseling child care: the ywca of silicon valley maintains two licensed child care centers in santa clara county that serve over 300 children each year ranging in age from 6 weeks to 12 years. Approximately 25% are children of single mothers, and 60% are children of minority families. 80% of our families receive government assistance to receive high quality childcare services with the ywca silicon valley. Each center is staffed with enthusiastic, dedicated individuals that are trained in cultural proficiency. The ywca's affordable child care services enable these parents to work outside the home to support their families. The centers value and embed an appreciation for diversity in all educational and enrichment activities.
