The organization owns a 142 unit apartment complex known as bauer park apartments, which provides housing facilities for moderate and low-income elderly and handicapped persons. The complex is operated pursuant to section 236 of the national housing act and participates in the section 8 housing assistance payment program. Such facilities are regulated by hud as to rent charges and operating methods.
