Mission

To provide care, services, advice, and support to persons living with alzheimer's disease, dementia and related disorders, and their families and caregivers; to provide education and information to the public and healthcare professionals about the nature and effects of alzheimer's disease, dementia and related disorders; and to advocate for increased support and services for persons living with alzheimer's disease, dimentia and related disorders.

Programs

The organization provides adult day services for individuals impacted by alzheimer's disease and related dementia. The program serves as a respite service for family caregivers and an opportunity for people with a diagnosis of dementia to interact with others in a positive, safe, and supportive environment. The center is open mondays-fridays, 7:30 a. M. - 5:30 p. M. , operates on a voluntary cost share contribution, and offers transportation to and from the center, meals and snacks, activities, and assistance with adl's. the institutional respite program offers short-term respite care to family caregivers by assisting with the cost of room and board associated with a temporary respite stay in a nursing home or facility. This program provides a much needed break for family caregivers to attend personal or medical needs and allows the individual with dementia to be cared for in a safe manner.
