Akron general parters, inc. (agp) is an ohio nonprofit, public benefit corporation. Agp was created in conjunction with a corporate and governance restructuring undertaken by agp's sole member, akron general health system (aghs). Agp was created to be the entity within aghs responsible for the conduct of a variety of outpatient activities including affiliate service arrangements, operation of a variety of satellite outpatient centers, joint venture arrangements and other activities consistent with aghs's mission and strategic plan. By concentrating the leadership on off campus outpatient services in agp, aghs is better able to deliver outpatient services that are more responsive to the needs of the community it serves.
