Anna jaques hospitals's mission is to provide medical services and to promote the health and well-being of its community through the operation of a 123-bed community hospital, regardless of patients's ability to pay.

Ajh inpatient services discharged a total of 7,123 patients in fiscal 2017, including 703 new babies and neonatal patients, 1,181 pediatric and adult psychiatric patients, and 5,239 medical/surgical patients. ajh outpatient services include the wound care clinic, which saw 3814 visits in fiscal 2017, outpatient surgery (4029 patients), pain clinic (6858 patients), sleep lab (893 patients), oncology clinic, which provided 4,024 infusions and 3,881 clinic visits; therapists of various disciplies, who saw 29,350 patients in fy 2017; diagnostics imaging (61,718 visits), as well as laboratory services and other clinics. Grants were made to seacoast affiliated group practice, a related organization, to assist in the growth of the jointly run breast care center, which saw 1,904 patients in the fiscal year. ajh emergency services treated 29,597 patients during fiscal 2017.
