See schedule othe corporation operates a 120-bed skilled nursing facility that provides long-term care for those unable to live independently and short-term rehabilitation for patients who have experienced elective surgery, an injury or a traumatic major illness. During fy17 the corporation had 37,778 patient days and provided various services including but not limited to respite care for family members and caregivers who need a rest from the demands of providing continuous care at home; stroke recovery for victims of stroke who often require extended rehabilitation services in order to achieve a level of functionality that allows them to return home; provide care for lvad and hvad patients, orthopedic recovery for patients who have undergone bone and/or joint surgery, including individualized one-on-one therapy with trained staff, seven days a week; respiratory therapy services 7 days a week for those patients with copd, pneumonia, trachs, etc; partnership with smilow team to provide services for rehabilitation services to patients being treated at smilow and coordinate services to and from the main campus; a contract is in place with the molecular neuroscience institute to provide a controlled environment for study patients while undergoing treatment; rehabilitation and long-term care for patients that are undocumented or do not have insurance to cover their stay in a facility, and quick access to labs, medications and diagnostic services (such as radiological services).
