The mission of the foundation is to rebuild lives through the gift of donation. The foundation provides compassionate support to donor families during the donation event and beyond; they employ highly competent and caring staff, and partner with organizations dedicated to the innovative use of tissue in medical care and research.

The foundation acquired musculoskeletal donors, skin donors, heart donors, saphenous or femoral veins as well as other nerve tissue. Heirlooms (giving journals) were given to donor families, and the foundation participated in and/or sponsored several donor education events, seminars, and conferences. The website is part of the healing program for donor family support and features materials and resources about tissue donation and partnership benefit information.
