The cooperative is formed for the purpose of receiving an allocation of crab individual fishing quota ("ifq") under the bering sea/aleutian islands crab rationalization program implemented by the national marine fisheries service and allocating that ifq amount to its members; taking such actions as may be necessary to permit ifq to be harvested by the members in accordance with applicable law; and to exercise the powers of a washington fish marketing act corporation conducive to its purposes and to act as a fishery cooperative.
