To serve as the lead land trust conserving and stewarding lands that support the scenic, recreational and environmental well-being of communities in allegheny county and its environs.

Expenses to acquire and manage land and to support the conservation efforts of landowners, communities, government, and other nonprofit organizations, including expenses to preserve trail corridors, scenic views, and historic features where they coincide with natural lands, and to conduct educational and recreational activities to enhance the public's understanding and enjoyment of natural areas. During the reporting year, allegheny land trust acquired 124 acres of new conservation land, designed and built 3. 5 miles of new trails and maintained 5. 5 miles of existing trails connecting corridors to improve public access. We also conducted 165 educational programs for schools, scout troops, and the public educating over 5,300 adults and approximately 8,000 children.
