Activity 1: achieving zero - a framework of integrated programs to phase out co2 emissions in the built environment by about 2050. Its key implementation tools are building intervention points that align and integrate building energy and efficiency upgrades with the capital improvement and major renovation cycles of existing buildings, as well as zero net carbon building standards. The framework is structured to deliver energy and emissions reductions, rapid expansion of local renewable energy systems, and the development of equitable, resilient, and healthy communities. Activity 2: the aia + 2030 online series - a online professional education program that includes ten courses providing architects and building sector professionals with the design and technology applications that produce highly resilient, low-carbon buildings that meet specific reduction targets for energy and emissions. Activity 3: china program - programs to support chinese local design and research institutes, international firms and professional organizations with the tools, expertise, training, and zero net carbon standards (localized) to ensure that china has the capability to meet the greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions reduction targets set in the paris agreement.
