Alpar assists local recycling partners with facilitating community recycle drop-off locations and shipping recyclables to market through a backhaul program in the railbelt. recycling grant program - alpar provides small grants for recycling and litter prevention projects throughout alaska. youth litter patrols and yellow litter bag distribution - alpar's longest running program provides grants to communities to pay youth to pick up litter and recycle throughout the summer. Each year alpar distributes 300,000 free bright yellow litter bags to over 220 communities and groups throughout the state of alaska.
