Woodland academy operates a school with an average of 7-9 full time at risk students ages 11-18. Our objective is to provide an alternative educational setting to meet the social, emotional/behavioral, academic and life needs of our students. Woodland academy also conducts monthly support meetings for parents in order that school and parents work cooperatively as a team in guiding students to productive adulthood.

Woodland academy had 5 returning students this past year. 2 new students joined woodland in october. 2 of the students are 18 and moving into the work force with support from a vocational specialist. 1 student will return to home school due to great progress over 3 years. 1 student is half time at his home school due to improvement in self-control. 3 students continue to remediate academically and to work on self-control. Graduation, employment and maintaining a strong work history continue to be the goals of woodland academy. Education opens doors to opportunity for young people who strive to be self-sufficient. The vision in our brochure states: in a core academic setting, woodland academys vision has a vocational focus using community service, internships and employment as vehicles for training educated, employed and responsible citizens.
