Alapto, inc's purpose is organizing and facilitating activities aimed at enriching the educational experience of the students at aldo leopold community school, a k-8 school within the green bay school district. The school encourages parental and community involvement in its curriculum. Aldo leopold community school emphasizes environmental and cultural learning through social service programs and field trips which expose students to a variety of experiential learning opportunities. Alapto inc. Provides program financial support, volunteer resources and classroom supplies that allow students such opportunities otherwise not available due to financial constraints in the school's budget.

Accomplishments include experiential learning field trips for all grades. Highlight destinations include weidner center for the performing arts, milwaukee county zoo, trees for tomorrow and camp u-nah-li-ya. In-school experiential learning opportunities include author-in-residence and storyteller katie mcky, artist-in-residence new wilderness project and steam programming with dome theater and proto, inc. Aldo leopold community school exploratory week was a success with eight hours of specialized environmental programming in a subject of each students selection; instruction was delivered by community members, parents, students and aldo staff. After school enrichment programming continues to grow to better meet the needs and interests of aldo students.
