Annual convention and institutes offer workshops on promotion and instructional techniques of reading skills by national and state speakers. The workshops provide opportunities to share the latest information and ideas for participants to take back to their school districts. There are approximately 2,800 attendees for the annual convention. printing and mailing of bimonthly newsletters, quarterly wsra journal and notices to 3,000 members promoting solid reading instruction; continues set-up and maintenance of organization's website. leadership, information and planning meetings of 200 committee members to develop current and future programs lobbying
