The primary purpose of wyandot run pto is to enhance both the educational facilities and the opportunities for the students of wyandot run elementary school by providing support for their educational needs by promoting open communication between faculty, staff, students, parents, and the administration. Program accomplishments for the 2014-2015 school year include:assemblies: wrpto provides funds for various student assemblies throughout the year, including cosi on wheels, enrichment day, and supergames. Misc. Programs: wrpto helps fund many programs throughout the year, including a reading breakfast for the first grade and a junior achievement biztown field trip for the fifth grade. Author visit: noted children's authors are invited to speak and visit with the students. Book fair: students, staff and families are given an opportunity to purchase books for home and classroom libraries. Brain games: wrpto publishes and distributes teacher-approved summer educational activity books for all grade levels. Awards for students for work completed are paid for from wrpto funds. Directory: wrpto publishes a directory of student addresses and phone numbers to enhance out-of-school experiences. Talent show: wrpto sponsors a student led talent show to allow students to share their talents with students, staff and families. Staff appreciation and teacher supplies: wrpto funds various activities throughout the year for staff, including dinners on conference nights, recognition of staff birthdays, and a staff luncheon. Wrpto also provides various funds to teachers to maximize their teaching potential. Smart boards: wrpto provided several smart boards to classrooms, offering technology-enabled learning environments. Climbing wall: wrpto helped fund a climbing wall for the school's gymnasium, benefiting all students in reaching physical fitness goals. Ins and outs: wrpto acts as a conduit for various teacher and student activity funds. Wrpto assisted with the facilitation of funds for the 1st grade's camp skeeter and multiple field trips.
