By june 30, 2017, 33 students were enrolled in wongu university's master of science program. In november 2016, the university received full licensing from cpe. Once wongu receives accreditation from accaom, wongu will be able to apply for approval to receive va tuition assistance for students applying to the program. As the university has received title 4 approval, the bond required for cpe licensing dropped to $127,000 from november 2016. The department of education considered the university for full approval of title 4 participation. However, wongu was given extended provisional approval through sept 2018 since the university had not had title iv for a full year at the time of the review and wongu needs to make up a training component before november 2017.
