To utilize stem (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), to build a foundation and confidence, to develop problem solving and work place skills, and to increase their interpersonal communication abilities. To engage them to acquire an increased interest in math, science, cultural history, and the diversity of new orleans by hands on training in our science and historic center, which is a supportive and encouraging environment that promotes academic achievement through mentoring, education, and investigation. This prepares them to be connected with local tradesmen and employed as journeymen in the building trades. To offer affordable housing, transportation, and mentoring in money, management, personal hygiene, and other life skills. To develop men with the discipline and basic tools to enter their apprenticeship training programs for professions in fields that maintain and restore new orleans' centuries-old buildings.

Youth restoration owns and manages a facility where another 501(c)(3) organization, father's house kids (boys 6-18), conducts its programs. Father's house kids is a feeder into the youth restoration program for career development. conducting various educational and life skills training programs such as affordable housing counseling, money management mentoring, and other life skills training. One of our graduates is gainfully employed with a locally owned electric company. He continues to receive support through affordable housing and mentoring. A second graduate learned framing and now runs his own framing crew. A third graduate is running his own lawn care business and supplements his income with framing houses, pile driving foundations, and learning historic restoration for a local construction company. A fourth graduate completed the teen challenge program, works full time in construction, and is skilled in framing, pile driving, forming foundations, and historic restoration. A fifth graduate started in father's house kids as a teen and progressed into youth restoration, inc. He is a trainer for a local subway restaurant. He takes computer aided design & drafting courses at delgado community college. A sixth graduate also started as a teen and progressed into youth restoration, inc. Through a relationship with the posse foundation. He received a full scholarship and is currently attending notre dame university. construction of a carpentry shop currently in use to provide job skills training to young men in the new orleans community.
