To provide programs and services to students, families, and teachers in order to create culturally conscious african american students who are life-long learners and critical thinkers.
Education
Approximately 2,500 people benefited from the caaae's services in 2014. That includes sponsorship of the annual awards ceremony of the santa clara county alliance of black educators (sccabe), the sponsorship of four regional convenings (pomona/los angeles, atlanta, detroit and philadelphia), the annual science fairs for the dr. Frank s. Greene scholars program (gsp) and the dr. George washington carver scholars program (scp), as well as dinner with the scientists. The gsp also hosted week-long summer science institutes in partnership with texas instruments and cisco systems. Project word (working on redefining our destiny) served students at oak grove and mt pleasant high schools.
