The organization will promote economic development by virtue of its support of the mission of the redevelopment authority of the county of berks (racb) to carry out the purposes of the pennsylvania urban redevelopment act of 1945, as amended.

To hold and/or invest assets for the benefit of, to perform the functions of, or to support the racb. Anticipated future activities of the racb include, but are not limited to, the construction of offices to be leased to the county of berks, the development of low income rental housing, the development of facilities to enhance the economic viability of a passenger tourist railroad operated by another nonprofit corporation, and the development of an emergency shelter for homeless families.
