The wsfca foundation was established to promote and facilitate the education of wisconsin fire service personnel with fireground command and control responsibilities to enable them to perform their duties efficiently and effectively, with particular emphasis on first responder safety. The goal of the foundation is to do everything possible to ensure "everyone goes home safely, every call, every day".

Disaster Aid , Safety Education

The wsfca foundation supports educational programs for chief officers and first responders in wisconsin. In 2017 the wsfca foundation sponsored four national fire academy courses at volk field and two hands-on training courses for large vehicle stabilization and extraction. Registration priority was provided to departments that reported having limited training funds or a high need for the training. the wsfca foundation hosted a golf outing and president's dinner in 2017 to raise funds for the wsfca foundation. The golf outing and president's dinner were hosted in conjunction with the wisconsin state fire chiefs' association annual conference. the wsfca foundation, with support of the blooming grove fire department has established the blooming grove fire department (bgfd) alumni scholarship. The scholarship provides funding for the advancement of fire and ems education among those students pursuing degree-granting programs specific to fire and ems academic programs from accredited colleges or universities.
