The Volunteers of AVFD raise funds to maintain 2 separate Fire Stations, Cos. 8 & 23 in Fairfax County. The corporation is responsible for construction and maintenance of both stations. One hundred percent of building costs are borne by the Volunteers. We also provide 12 pieces of Fire apparatus for which we are responsible for replacement. The majority of the apparatus payments are borne by the Volunteers.
