The organization defends human and civil rights by advocating and aiding lawsuits by victims of oppression, acts of violence and other injustices. The organization determines whether the public would be served through one or more lawsuits which focus public attention on the actions of the perpetrators, and the tragic consequences of their actions. These lawsuits are a form of economic sanctions, and is so considered by various government agencies. In those cases where judgment is obtained and collection of damages is effected, it is a great assistance to the victims who are mostly financially disadvantaged. Support is also provided to general charitable causes.
