Programs

Pure performance: we run a student-led program in both middle schools and both high schools. The students meet twice a month and develop messaging and activities for their peers to keep them drug/alcohol free by committing to living a healthy lifestyle. Approximately 50 students lead that. Leadership camps are held yearly to learn team building and leadership skills. yc magazine; we produce a quarterly magazine for parents filled with resources and advice to help with parenting issues. It also highlights kids and adults in our community making good choices and helping the community. rx drug task force: our rx drug task force conducts drug take backs twice a year, removing 200 lbs of medications from homes, making it safer for kids. We conduct take action forums to educate parents on what to look for in their children for possible use. We educate the public on the dangers of driving while taking medications that impair. coalition work: we engage our community to provide alternative activities so kids have a fun and safe place. We work with the faith community in our real project encouraging using the connect system to make referrals, educate their congregations on what substances are doing to area families, and organizing a volunteer fair so collectively a real change can be made.
