Team achieve boxing is a branch of achieve that uses the usa olympic boxing program to allow our athletes the opportunity to compete in sanctioned usa olympic boxing events. All participants of team achieve are working on academic, personal and athletic goals. As a team member of team achieve, students must be enrolled in school or college and maintain a 2. 5 gpa. In addition, students must maintain good academic attendance and cannot partake in violence of any form. As we teach our athletes how to box, we are teaching them the value of perseverance and hard work and intrinsic motivation. Parents and teachers of team achieve students report significant improvement in attendance, grades and attitudes. Http://teamusa. Org/usa-boxing achieve academy is a branch of achieve that provides our students with online instruction and tutoring. These resources exist to provide at-risk and disadvantaged youth a second chance at reclaiming their education. We serve youth in grade school, middle school, high school, college and vocational training. Achieve academy strives to develop within each student a passion for learning and a commitment to excellence. Many of our students are enrolled in credit recovery or are taking full-time online classes. Achieve academy allows students the opportunity to excel academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually at their own pace. Achieve academy's resources are available to our students completely free of charge. Our facility has a computer lab with internet access allowing students to access khan academy and plato learning. By using plato learning, our students can recover credits through their enrolled high school. Oftentimes this is done concurrent with their regular class schedule allowing students to catch up with their graduating class. After graduation, we strive to assist students in pursuing post-secondary education. This includes universities, colleges, jr colleges and technical schools / programs. second helpings, llc. Provides cooked meals for our participants. They drop off the food every day and we warm it in an oven. A commercial oven provided by thermocore panel systems has allowed us to double the meals that we serve daily. Last year we served 250 kids over 3,700 meals. That number only includes cooked, warm meals. It doesn't include sandwiches, noodles and microwavable food. This semester we are serving 80 warm meals nightly.
