Mission

The Youth Action Project is a non-profit organization that works to empower youth and young adults to develop the skills and habits needed to experience economic and social success.

Programs

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT YAP uses a peer-to-peer and near-to-peer approach in its programming. Youth are connected to positive adults who teach and model appropriate behaviors and life skills. EDUCATIONAL ENHANCEMENT Students obtain essential skills and strategies necessary for success in, through, and beyond high school. ECONOMIC COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT YAP assists young people in becoming self-sufficient through a series of financial literacy, work readiness, entrepreneurial development and community organizing activities.

Demographics

youth and young adults ages 14-25. Students who have not passed the California High School Exit Exam. College students who have one or more barriers to employment.
