Mission

The specific and primary purpose of the llc is to help make it possible to provide quality early childhood education in a low income community in south los angeles. Most government supported child care programs do not allow operators to use program fees for mortgage payments and consequently operators must find rental space that can be modified and licensed for head start or other child care programs. Erc believes that by using its assets to acquire and lease the building to the child care operator (at a below market lease rate), it is engaging in, assisting, supporting, and contributing to the support of charitable activities and charitable projects in the public interest for a public purpose. Erc believes that by purchasing property to be used by child care operators it is ameliorating conditions of poverty, dependency, chronic unemployment and underemployment, rising community tensions, and social and economic disadvantage in southern california.
