Mission

The center was established to empower school-aged children and young adults with developmental disabilities to find, use, and express their unique needs and talents.

Programs

After-school programs - the center provides after school services, in the berkeley, oakland and alameda areas, to youth and young adults with development disabilities, with a focus on social life skills. This program also operates for full days during school breaks. ala costa adult transition (acat) program - provides adult transition and community training services to transition aged youth (ages 18-22) with development disabilities for the berkeley unified school district. Community based program with a focus on self-determination and self-advocacy. Includes a vocational training component. adult community training (act) program - providers community training services to young adults (ages 22 and up) in alameda county. Community based program with a focus on self-determination, self-advocacy, and accessing community resources. Included a vocational training component.
