Arizona center for the study of children and families develops and evaluates policy, practice and programs to improve the wellbeing of children in arizona, particularly children in the 85705 zip code in tucson. The caring community grant was received by az center for one year and was administered by pima county. Az center was involved in various events in schools and worked in conjunction with united way and the community food bank to make fresh produce available and distribute it in the impoverished area within the 85705 zip code as well as graffiti abatement. About 1500 children and their families received food throughout the year.
