Mission

The youth symphony of southern oregon (ysso) organization provides exceptional performance experiences and training under the leadership of professional conductors and musicians and fosters lifelong appreciation of music and the arts. Ysso organization provides access to high-level training and performance opportunities; develops technical, interpretive and performance skills; promotes lifelong creative workforce skills such as teamwork, discipline, empathy and focus; works with professional musicians and cultural networks; supplements school programs; builds audiences and provides affordable cultural enrichment. The organization marked its 29th concert season in 2016-2017.
