The mission of the Arnot Art Museum is to preserve the original collection of Matthias H. Arnot and, with a primary focus on representational art, to collect and exhibit works of art possessing the highest quality, merit, enduring worth, and interest for the purpose of: *promoting an understanding and appreciation of the visual arts; *providing inspiration, enjoyment, and enlightenment to the largest possible audience; *enhancing the culture of our region; *establishing a national role based on our collection.
