Cultural events - our organizations goal of cultural events was achieved by regular performs at: film, cultural, music and other arts festivals through the region, nationally, and internationally. The goal of these performances is to enlighten, entertain and extend the awareness of the ability of music to integrate with filmmaking, photography, painting, sculpting and dancing to create a cohesive and dramatic canvas of art, which extends beyond sound to palate of sensations affecting all the senses of the audience. This cultural events initiative will further extend and provide opportunities to educate and support the organization's goal to demonstrate collaborative art making to individuals of all ages. education of youth in the arts - the organization is also strongly committed to inspiring the next generation of creative artists. Our education residency at the johns hopkins university includes orchestra performances, workshops, student collaboration projects, and internships. These opportunities for engagement are an integral part of the orchestra's initiative to promote higher education and the development of new models of creative expression to the youth and students of music and the arts. We further extend our initiative for education of the youth in the arts through our education residency at the maryland institute college of art. This residency gives art students studying: film, video, painting, textiles, painting, sculpture, and other media the unique opportunity to contribute their art and talents to aso concerts through internships, as well as participate in workshops, master-classes, and other events. public performance - the organization provided its first public performance in its presentation of verticalchange your perspective held in may 2011. The concert featured 3 short films with live soundtracks: words, new york connection, and strangeland orchestrated by film composer austin wintory. In addition, a performance of a graphic novel written by jonathon scott fuqua and illustrated by steven parke was accompanied by an original soundtrack composed by jacob yoffe and lisa coleman. Finally, in keeping with the organizations mission, this event showcased aerialist from dna theater performing aerial arts that mesmerized the audiance with their alluring artistic expression of the music performance.
