The mission of the American Youth Ballet is to nurture and inspire young dancers and audiences with professional quality performance experiences, while promoting excellence in dance training and education.

The American Youth Ballet will perform a newly choreographed a fun and lively performance of "The Nutcracker" on December 11, 2010, at Yardley Hall. The AYB hopes to bring 1000 children in need to "The Nutcracker." The AYB is actively seeking an organization to partner with it to bring children to "The Nutcracker" at no cost to the children. Paul Mesner will create a growing tree especially for the American Youth Ballet's production of "The Nutcracker." This production of "The Nutcracker" is choreographed by Kristopher Estes-Brown. The cast for the ballet is almost entirely youth. The American Youth Ballet held open auditions for this production for the first time in September.
