Mission

To provide fundraising and financial support to the 16th street theater, a theater program operated by the north berwyn park district, to foster cultural enrichment and education for all members of the community through the development and presentation of diverse works for the stage.

Programs

The 16th street theater produces new plays. During 2017, the theater had a total of 117 performances of 12 different productions. Three of these productions were held at the main theater. The other nine productions were performed at various area locations. Approximately 6,000 people attended these productions. the organization teaches educational residencies at all three campuses of j. S. Morton high school, serving students in berwyn, il and cicero, il, by teaching performance skills, playwriting and collaborative techniques. The residences offered are in partnership with northeastern illinois university, which funds the organization for its services. The organization also offers summer programming for young people.
