Museum: construct and exhibit three dimensional painting called the american mural project depicting americans working at various jobs; a celebration of american ingenuity, productivity and commitment to work

Tiles project april 2017 -students in grades 7-12 at the gilbert school in winsted created close to 50 tiles that will be part of amp's atrium, featuring a collection of work tiles made by students from connecticut schools. Apprentice program in june 2017, amp began a digital storytelling apprenticeship program. Three apprentices began working with amp staff. They visited the haddad dairy farm to interview the farmer milking the cows in the mural. In july, the apprentices, along with mentors and the artist, went to nyc to film interviews with the firefighter and the policeman depicted in the mural. In august, interviews were done with the construction crew from scope construction. Studio update work was started on the farming section - one of three pieces that will make up the longest section of the mural (33'), as well as the piece of the mural paying tribute to roy lichtensteins 1995 americas cup sailboat for which he designed the mermaid hull. Work was also done on the next piece of the mural, creating the pattern for the liberty section.
